Our after school drawing club is finished for the first session, but that doesn't mean the drawing has to stop!  Students enjoyed exploring different subjects in their own sketchbooks, including hands, portraits, blind contour drawing, outdoor landscape studies and imagination collages.  See below for some of the activities we've been up to.

Our after school art club has decided to make "trick art": interactive paintings that make the viewer part of the action.  So far, we have a dragon slayer, rainbow angel wings and a high flying jet pack.  I can't wait to see the finished results!

After School Knitting Club

Students in our after school knitting club had a lot of fun making a knit cowl.  First , we learned how to "finger knit" a thick rope of yarn, and then we arm knit the rope into a warm, fuzzy cowl scarf. Arm knitting involves the same process as using knitting needles, but is much easier for little ones to have success with their first time.
